Sci Fi TV reviews

Right now my blog is pretty small, but someday it will have multiple pages for different media, and perhaps different types of sci fi, maybe old classics and newer works, maybe a page for short stories…hey, I always say dream big.  Anyway, this is the first of those eventual pages.  It is for reviews of sci fi on TV.  Mostly that will mean TV shows, but the occasional TV movie might make the list as well (though I shudder to think I will ever stoop so low as to review any of the incredibly bad B movies the SciFi channel puts out, every once in a while one comes along that is campy and funny enough to be worthy of note).  I plan to have another page for sci fi movie reviews, so I won’t put those here.

I wonder if you recall a tv (chapter of a serie? single programm?) where aliens come to our planet and give us a choice to deliver a group of humans in order to save the planet. The dilemma was hoy humans decide on which are the ones that will remain and which ones are to be given to the aliens. This short program (less than half an hour for sure) simulated a media coverage from the beginning giving it the appearance of a news coverage in real time.

I don’t remember that one, but it sounds interesting. I read a book with a similar theme once, but I can’t remeber the name of it. Maybe someone else out there remembers? Oh – try Crotchety Old Fan. He’s old and crotchety but he remembers everything. (Nothin’ but love, Steve.)

Thought you might like to know about a short sci fi film set on Mars that should be turning up in the festivals soon…
