Free fiction again

January 14, 2009

Neil Gaiman’s book, Coraline, is soon to be made into a movie.  Before that happens, he has put a fully browsable link to the book on his website.  Or you can go straight to it on the Harper Collins site here in case you want to read it before the movie comes out. I’m going to try to put it on my site also, but we’ll see how that goes (I’m learning all this technical stuff as I go).  I haven’t read it yet, but it’s free, so I will soon.

A Warning

January 14, 2009

Passing along this warning from IO9 about Battlestar Galactica

Don’t just set your DVR as usual!  Apparently the beginning of the end comes with 3 1/2 extra minutes.  That’s right, according to IO9 (they don’t say where they got the info) this week’s episode of BSG, the first one of the show’s final (half) season, will run long.  So if you DVR it, you will miss those last minutes where the big revelation always hides.  That has happened to me so many times, especially with Heroes–it always seems to run about a minute past where my DVR stops recording.  It is maddening!

Anyway, consider yourselves warned.
